{"id":349,"date":"2018-03-26T21:48:01","date_gmt":"2018-03-27T00:48:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/?p=349"},"modified":"2018-03-26T21:48:43","modified_gmt":"2018-03-27T00:48:43","slug":"5x5-rubiks-cube-parody-solve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/5x5-rubiks-cube-parody-solve\/","title":{"rendered":"5X5 Rubik&#8217;s Cube Parody Solve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When learning to solve a 5X5 Rubik&#8217;s Cube a Parody Solve is perhaps the most difficult part.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been solving cubes in my shows for a while now, \u00a0and I constantly learn new things with the cubes just to keep me sharp with the cube. \u00a0When I was given a 5X5 cube it took a while to learn. \u00a0This was the stage I got stuck at!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m mostly posting this here because I know I&#8217;ll forget it and will be able to reference it here later. \u00a0If you don&#8217;t use this on a regular basis you&#8217;ll easily forget it.<\/p>\n<p>In a 5X5 cube you first solve the centres, then the edges. \u00a0The edges are the 3 pieces that are in the middle of each edge. \u00a0You want them to be the same. \u00a0Here&#8217;s a pic of the edges the way you want them to look<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-350 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image1-2-375x500.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image1-2-375x500.jpeg 375w, https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image1-2-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image1-2-675x900.jpeg 675w, https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image1-2.jpeg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can see in the top a completed green and white edge, and a completed green and orange edge. \u00a0This is how you want it to look!<\/p>\n<p>However, when solving the edges it&#8217;s common that the last 2 edges you try and solve will have a &#8220;parody&#8221;. \u00a0a parody in this case is 2 pieces that are in the wrong place and need to be switched. \u00a0Here is a pic of the 2 that need switching<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-351 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4021-375x500.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4021-375x500.jpg 375w, https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4021-768x1025.jpg 768w, https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4021-674x900.jpg 674w, https:\/\/chainsawjuggling.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4021.jpg 959w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 375px) 100vw, 375px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As you can see from my great artistic ability this method is to switch these 2 pieces and thus complete the last two edges.<\/p>\n<h2>Here&#8217;s how it&#8217;s done!<\/h2>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how it&#8217;s done!
